About

Welcome! This site is dedicated to all Rota Admirals, past and present!

The DGF Alumni site, in its former incarnation, went live on February 4, 2006. From that date until April 20, 2008, when it was moved here, it received 7,253 hits. Not too shabby for a basic site without any bells or whistles, I think.

Facebook recently revolutionized how DGFers find and communicate with each other. Mini-reunions are springing up all over the country! Many DGFers have discovered how closely they live to fellow classmates and have gotten together for dinner, barbecues, band gigs or just quick hellos over lunch.

Now that so many alumni have discovered Facebook and are using it to reconnect and keep in touch with friends, the purpose of this blog has changed a bit. Trying to read hundreds of profiles–literally–to find out what everyone is up to can be overwhelming. I’ve linked the DGF Alumni blog to Facebook through the NetworkedBlogs application there, and I hope to make this blog a central source of news for and about alumni and reunions.
