The site has moved! Welcome to the new DGF Alumni! You’ll find lots of new features, with more on the way. It’s a work in progress, but it’s up and running enough for you to use it.
I’ve transferred most of the posts over from the old site, but unfortunately, because I’ve moved to a hosted site, and am using a new comment system (one of those cool new features!), I’m unable to import all the comments from that site. I could transfer them over by hand, and I may still do that for some of the recent ones, but it would be very time consuming. I’d rather use that time further improving the site and making it more useful and fun than ever.
If you’ve left a comment on the old site that you really want to transfer over, please feel free to copy it from that site and paste it into the appropriate page here. I’ll be more than happy to approve all transferred comments, and I’ll even adjust the date to the original post date for posterity’s sake. If you decide to do this, thank you! I appreciate the help.
I’ll leave the old site up for a while to let visitors know that we’ve moved, but I have disabled comments on that site. I’ll also be removing all the links, and eventually, all the posts. I’m trying to make this transition as easy on everyone as possible.
Many of you had taken to communicating through comments on the old site. It’s one of the main reasons I decided to move back to a hosted site with more options. Not everyone is on Facebook, and I’d like to help make it easy for people to find each other and communicate. To that end, one of the biggest changes you’ll see on the new site is the addition of a Discussion Forum. An offsite forum has existed for a few years, but now it’s embedded in this site, making it easier for everyone to communicate in one place.
Again, I was unable to import all the old posts. The old discussion forum, which can be found here, will also remain up for a while to help everyone make their way over to the new site. I have disabled posting on the old forum, so please feel free to start conversations in the new one. Or, just like with the comments, if you want to copy any of your posts from the old forum into the new one, please feel free. And thanks for helping out!
If you have any questions, or have any problems using the new site, or any suggestions for it, please let me know via the Contact page. Thank you for your continued support!
