Have you stopped by the DGF Alumni blog lately? I’ve added some things and made some improvements. Like what? Well, I’m glad you asked!
You can now subscribe to the blog either via RSS or e-mail. If you subscribe by e-mail, every time a new post is published, it will be delivered right to your inbox. Convenient, right? Or, if you prefer, you can subscribe via RSS and read the blog in the aggregate client of your choice. Not familiar with RSS or how it works? This explanation should help. To subscribe, look for the buttons below the main photo.
You can also follow DGF Alumni on Twitter. Not on Twitter yet? Why not? It’s fun! Several of your fellow Rota Admirals are already there, tweeting away. Check it out!
I added some new photos, and included some information about the photos you see on the site in the About page.
If you scroll down the list of links on the right side of the page, you’ll see some new ones under the heading Support Our Troops. If you know of any sites that can be added to that list, please contact me.
There’s also a new navigation menu at the bottom of each page. I don’t know about you, but it drives me nuts when I’m reading something on a site, and I get to the bottom of the page, and have to scroll aaall the way back to the top to get back to the menu. So now it should be easier for you to get around the site.
I also found the coolest application for the site! You can see it in action now in the Twitter entries, and on some of the links above. See those little icons? Hover over them and watch what happens. That’s not all it does, though. It works with more sites and links than just those two. Keep an eye on the site for more of those little link icons and see what they can do!
At the bottom of each page, you’ll also find a link to the Privacy Policy. Please take a moment to review it.
I have lots more ideas for upcoming blog posts. It’s just a matter of finding the time between work and everything else! I appreciate everyone’s support.
Speaking of support, if you haven’t read about it yet, the links on the site that go places like Amazon.com and La Tienda are there for two reasons. First, to give you guys easy access to all kinds of great Spanish products, from ceramics to pipas. Second, to help pay for hosting and other costs associated with keeping this site going. So if you like the site, next time you get a craving for Nocilla, consider getting it here. Thanks!
And by the way, if you have an idea for a post that would be of interest to your fellow Rota Admirals, or you know of something newsworthy that could be covered here, please let me know. I can’t keep track of all of you by myself!
