We lost a dear friend last week. Inmaculada Kirk Pierce, known to all of us as Macu, was killed in a tragic boating accident on Easter Sunday. She was 42. She leaves behind a 16-year-old daughter, Monica, a wonderful family, and numerous close friends.
As many of you know, Geno Raffo (Class of ‘89) passed away last year. He was a great guy and we miss him very much. Fellow DGFer Heidi Christensen Woolley has started a project to commemorate Geno’s life for his daughter, Lexi.

Since linking the blog to Facebook, several people have asked about Admirals listed on the In Memoriam page. Many are hearing about lost classmates for the first time, so are naturally curious as to how and when their friends passed away, especially those who were still so young.

Fletcher Chris Hill, also known as “The Captain,” started his DJ career in Rota back in 1981. He was the music man at school dances, and had a regular gig on the base’s AFRTS radio station.
